EPGP
EPGP is based on the concept of Effort Points and Gear Points. Effort Points quantify the effort each member put towards guild goals (Raids, Events, etc) and Gear Points quantify what each member got back in return. As you participate in guild raids and events you will accumulate effort points which will be used to calculate loot priority. Loot priority is computed as the quotient of the two; priority (PR) is equal to EP/GP
Item GP values are provided by EPGP and can be viewed if you have the addon installed.
Loot Priority
All Dark Fire members with the rank of Officer, Veteran, or Raider rank will need a minimum of 15000 EP for their priority to be considered. Dark Fire members with other ranks will only be considered if none of the above ranks require loot.
If no one requires an item for main spec, the item may be rolled on for others for their off spec. In this instance 100 GP will be awarded for each item received. Off spec allocation is usually made according to a roll, but may be allocated according to the needs of the guild and the regularity of the 'off-spec use'. This is at the Officers' discretion.
It is against guild EPGP rules to refuse loot that is a clear upgrade in order to preserve priority. The guild needs all raiders to have the best possible gear to enable progress and therefore if something is an upgrade you will be expected to take the loot.
Pure DPS classes (Mages, Warlocks, Hunters and Rogues) are considered to not have an "Off Spec" where loot is concerned.
LUCKY NUMBER 1 RULE
During any roll called for during guild activities a roll of 1 trumps a roll of 100.
PUGS
It is our policy to treat any PUG raid member with the same respect as a guild member.
We will tolerate absolutely no maltreatment to pugs, violators will be penalized at the of the RL or GM.
Pugs will free roll against guild members on any gear that they are eligible for. Eligibility will follow the guild main spec off spec rules.
Vanity Items
All Dark Fire members are expected to roll for themselves on eligible Vanity loot drops (Bags, Mount, companions, etc).
All mount drops are reserved for Dark Fire members only, pugs are not allowed to roll for mounts unless told otherwise by the RL or GM.
Awarding EP
EP is only awarded for formal guild runs. EP is awarded at the following rates.
Base EP
Time +300 EP / per hour.
Farm Normal Boss Kill +300 EP.
Progress Normal Boss Kill +600 EP.
Farm Heroic Boss Kill +450 EP.
Progression Heroic Boss Kill +900 EP.
NOTE: A Boss is a ‘Progress Boss’ until it has been killed 3 times. Then he may be changed to a ‘Farm Boss.’ This is at the Raid Leader’s discretion. (The status of a boss is guild-wide. Once he is on ‘Farm’ in Group 1, he is a farm boss on any Alt Runs as well.)
Bonus EP
Wipe Bonus +300 EP (at RL or GM discretion for 5+ attempts).
Signup +300 EP (signed at least 2 hours pre-raid / being ready to raid on time).
Standby +50% of Time/Signup EP (+600 EP for 3 hour raid).
Officer or RL Bonus +300 EP / per week.
Extra Effort Bonus +300/150EP (1st/2nd place) - see ' Extra Effort Bonus'
Decay
To avoid EP hoarding, every week a decay of 7% will be applied to all members EP/GP points. This will also encourage people to be active, otherwise they will fall below the 1000 EP limit making them in-eligible to compete for loot with other members above 1000 EP. This decay will be applied every weekend according to the schedule..
Base GP
The whole idea of using Decay is to promote active raiders getting a higher PR value and also ensure that inactive raiders fall below the 1000 EP limit. But, and here's the but, it doesn't change their PR value since the decay is evenly applied on both EP and GP. To counter this there is something called Base GP.
Base GP provides a method to modify the effect decay has on Priority. The *effective* GP will not decay past that value. The actual GP, including all decay, will be retained in the database but for the calculation of Priority the number provided here will be used instead if the GP falls below it. So this does mean that inactivity will not reset your EP should you fall into negative numbers.
The Base GP value we will use for now is 400.
