GUILD CHARTER:
Dark Fire was started soon after launch on the server Azgalor as part of the Horde faction. We moved shortly after to Mug’thol due to server population issues and survived four years until real life events forced the leadership to stop playing. Now that Cataclysm has arrived we have picked up where we left off. We strive not only to progress endgame, but also to become a close team and have fun! As with any successful guild, member participation is key. Here are some of our core guild goals, rules, policies etc., that prospective members should know before joining:
GUILD MISSION STATEMENT:
We are a community of adult, mature, veteran gamers. We are dedicated to a friendly, team focused, fun-loving gaming environment where every member is important and not just a number on a roster. We are mainly focused on raiding but we also participate in other aspects of the game. Our main goal while playing WoW is to build a team that has a 'Guild first, friends first' belief, while still advancing through end game content and having fun while doing so.
SCHEDULE:
The typical raid schedule is Tuesday/Wednesday from 7:00PM CST until 11:00PM CST (Server Time). This is subject to change.
LOOT AND RAID SPOTS:
Raid spots are based loosely on needs of a particular fight and mostly on player performance for progression attempts and kills. For farm bosses we make sure people are able to get in for bosses they need items from. Loot is determined by our EPGP system and a council of the officers and is based heavily on attendance and commitment.
Note from the Officers:
"Applying" for a guild in this age of WoW is more a formality than anything. We raid relatively tame hours and this game isn't a job to us nor must it be for you. Calling it an application feels like a rather strong word for stating that you would like to play video games with a group of people. There's very little somebody can write that is going to convince us that they are the ideal fit until we can get you on vent and just hang out for a bit. When you commit 10-12 hours a week to raiding you want it to be with people you enjoy playing with and who enjoy being around you. Having that personality match is just as important as being up to par on the skill level exhibited by the other members of the guild.
Most of all, we think it's important that you feel you are a good fit with us. If you're reading this then chances are you are considering transferring to play with us. It's in both of our best interests along with your bank account's to ensure that you are making the proper decision before spending money and time relocating your character. When you come on vent with us hopefully you have as many questions for us as we do for you. We don't want to be "the first guild to accept you", we want to be a group of players that you think would be fun to play with.
As a starting point for the vent conversation, could you please fill out the application? It helps gauge your level of raiding experience and personality.
We also ask that Applicants read the following Policies and Rules, before applying:
